Arvinder Singh Lovely joins BJP

Former Delhi Congress President Arvinder Singh Lovely has joined BJP. Lovely had left Congress just a few days ago. He has taken membership of BJP at BJP headquarters in Delhi.

Arvinder Singh Lovely who had quit as the president of the Delhi Congress due to the grand old party’s alliance with AAP for the Lok Sabha elections, officially joined the BJP on Saturday. In the presence of Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva, and national general secretary Vinod Tawde, Lovely became a member of the party.

He had joined BJP earlier also but after some time he left the party. In fact, there are quite a few reasons to Arvinder Singh Lovely joining BJP.

At the saffron party’s national capital headquarters, Lovely was accompanied by former Congress MLAs Raj Kumar Chauhan, Naseeb Singh, Neeraj Basoya, and former Youth Congress President Amit Malik as they also joined the Bhartiya Janata Party.

Lovely expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving him the chance to serve the people of Delhi. “We now have the chance to fight for the citizens of Delhi under the Prime Minister’s direction and the BJP banner,” Lovely stated.

“Without a doubt, and with all my hope, the country is heading toward an overwhelming majority for the BJP to form its administration. In the next several days, the BJP flag will also fly in Delhi,” Lovely added further.

Lovely had recently resigned from Congress

Lovely resigned from his position as chief of the Congress Delhi unit on Sunday, igniting rumors that he will join the BJP. Lovely was appointed to the position last year.

During his resignation Lovely had stated he was feeling helpless as AICC Delhi in-charge Deepak Babaria was blocking all the decisions of the senior leaders of the Delhi unit.

While talking to the media, Lovely had also said that, “I am the President of Congress in Delhi. I cannot get a position higher than this in the party. I have resigned not for myself but for the party workers. I had enumerated the reasons in the letter I had sent.”

It also came after a string of resignations, among them prominent figures like former Delhi lawmakers Neeraj Basoya and Naseeb Singh.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
