Death of Congress Corporator’ daughter
The daughter of a Congress councilor was murdered by her former classmate in the college premises in Hubli, Karnataka on Thursday. Accused Faiyaz has been arrested. According to the police, 23-year-old Neha was the daughter of Congress councilor Niranjan Hiremath. She was a first year Masters of Computer Applications (MCA) student at BVB College.

23 year old accused Faiyaz was also Neha’s former classmate. CCTV footage from the campus shows Fayaz stabbing Neha multiple times with a knife and then running away.
College officials and other students took Neha to the hospital, but she was declared dead.

According to sources, Faiyaz, a resident of Belagavi district, had been stalking Neha for several days after she allegedly rejected his advances.
In Hubballi, police apprehended Fayaz with the aid of Vidyanagar police. The Hubballi-Dharwad Commissioner of Police, Renuka Sukumar, stated: “The incident occurred at approximately 4:45–5 p.m. when the girl Neha, who was pursuing MCA at BVB College, was attacked with a knife by one of her former classmates. There, he studied BCA. He stabbed her six or seven times.”

Hubli-Dharwad Police Commissioner Renuka Sukumar said, “Around 4.45-5 pm, the incident took place where a former classmate of the girl, Neha, who was studying MCA at BVB College, attacked her with a knife. She was studying BCA there. of.” He stabbed him 6-7 times.” Sukumar further said, “What we know so far is that they knew each other when they studied together. Further details including the motive will be known after interrogation.”
