Actor Prakash Raj was the subject of a police report due to his tweet regarding the Chandrayaan-3 mission. In the Bagalkote district of Karnataka, leaders of Hindu organizations complained about the 58-year-old actor and requested that something be done about it.
On August 20, the actor had posted a cartoon with the caption “First picture coming from the Moon by #VikramLander (sic)” showing a man pouring tea while wearing a vest and lungi. He was charged with’mocking’ India’s planned Moon mission by a number of users.
Users quickly took to the comment section and condemned him for mocking the Chandraayan-3 mission. Many also pointed out that the post was driven by his ‘blind hatred’ for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP. It is to be noted that Prakash Raj had taken ‘chaiwala’ (tea seller) digs at him in the past.
