Chhattisgarh teen arrested over fake bomb threats to 3 flights; wanted to settle scores with friend
The Mumbai Police apprehended a teenager from Chhattisgarh on Wednesday for reportedly sending fake bomb threats to three flights. The police reported receiving complaints about bomb threats on several flights bound for Mumbai. These social media posts contained threats.
After investigating, it was discovered that a young boy from Chhattisgarh was responsible for these posts.
The boy was held and sent to the Juvenile Justice Board after giving notice to his parents.

Police investigating whether case is linked to other similar instances of fake bomb threats in past
Currently, the police are looking into whether this case is linked to multiple other instances of fake bomb threats received by certain flights in recent times.
Over the past three days, around twelve Indian flights, flying within the country and internationally, have been targeted with false bomb threats.
Civil Aviation Ministry closely monitoring the situation
Ram Mohan Naidu, the Union Minister of Civil Aviation, stated that he is closely observing the situation and making sure that all required actions are being taken in response.
“Mumbai Police has arrested a minor responsible for issuing bomb threats targeting three flights. All others responsible for the disruptions will be identified and duly prosecuted,” he said.
