In the land-for-job scandal, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed charges against Tejashwi Yadav, the deputy chief minister of Bihar, RJD Chief Lalu Yadav, and Rabri Devi.
The chargesheet has been filed in the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi. The chargesheet hearing date has not yet been given yet.
The case will be heard in court on July 12.
The CBI chargesheet comes even as there’s speculation that Janata Dal (United) leader and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar might return to the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) fold.
The purported appointments in the railroads arranged in exchange for land parcels given or sold to Lalu Yadav’s family between 2004 and 2009 are the subject of the “land-for-jobs” lawsuit.
It is believed that the jobs were traded for land blocks that were given to Lalu Yadav’s family and his allies or sold to them at steep discounts.
