Former Samajwadi Party (SP) state secretary Virender Bahadur Pal has been accused of raping a female lawyer who served as his assistant, leading to a case being filed against him.
Complaint filed by the assistant of Pal
Pal’s assistant, who used to be the president of the Mau Bar Association, lodged the complaint.
The woman claimed in her complaint in Mau district, Uttar Pradesh, that Pal coerced her into a sexual relationship for the last year by blackmailing her with videos and photos. She also said that Pal had made repeated threats towards her.
After being president of the Mau Bar Association for two terms, Pal is now fleeing from authorities following the filing of an FIR. A comprehensive investigation has been started by the authorities while the victim was undergoing a medical examination.
