On India’s 79th Independence Day, the first poster of the highly anticipated action war drama Border 2 was unveiled, igniting excitement among fans. Actor Sunny Deol took to Instagram to share the poster, which also confirmed a change in the film’s release date.
The Poster: Sunny Deol in Action
The striking first look shows an intense Sunny Deol in full soldier gear, aiming a bazooka at unseen enemies while shouting in defiance. The backdrop features a fierce gunfight, with several soldiers proudly holding the Indian National Flag an image reminiscent of photographs taken after the 1999 Kargil War, where soldiers posed with the tricolour in victory.
Release Date Shift
Originally slated for release on January 23, 2026, the film will now hit theatres a day earlier, on January 22, 2026, to take advantage of an extended Republic Day weekend.
Sharing the poster, Sunny Deol wrote:
“Hindustan ke liye ladenge… phir ek baar! 🇮🇳 #Border2 hits theatres on Jan 22, 2026.”
The film’s promotional post also featured background music, further heightening the patriotic fervour.
