The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has declared that it will provide ₹2,500 monthly to women in Delhi through the ‘Mahila Samridhi Scheme’ if it secures victory in the forthcoming Assembly Elections. Moreover, the saffron party guarantees a subsidy of ₹500 on LPG cylinders and one free cylinder during both Holi and Diwali.
“If we gain power in Delhi, we will provide women with ₹2500 monthly under the Mahila Samridhi Scheme.” “And we assure that the program will be launched in the first cabinet meeting after taking office,” BJP national president JP Nadda declared while launching the first section of the manifesto – ‘Sankalp Patra’ on January 17.
The cash scheme resembles the initiatives already established in other BJP-governed states, such as the ‘Ladli Behna Yojana’ in Madhya Pradesh and the ‘Ladki Bahin Yojana’ in Maharashtra.
The scheme is a direct rebuttal to the ruling AAP’s ‘Mahila Samman Yojana’—the program that has pledged ₹2,100 monthly for women in the national capital.
The Congress party has pledged a cash scheme of ₹2,500 per month for women if it gains power in the national capital.

Nadda stated that the party plans to launch the second and third parts of the ‘Sankalp Patra’ in the upcoming days. If it gains power in the national capital, the saffron party will maintain all current welfare initiatives.
“In 2014, we committed to 500 promises and fulfilled 499 of them—reaching a completion rate of 99.99 percent.” In 2019, we made 235 commitments and accomplished 225, with the remaining ones in the process of being implemented, achieving a 95.5 percent completion rate. Our main emphasis continues to be on welfare, effective governance, development, empowering women, and advancing farmers.” Nadda stated that all existing welfare programs in Delhi will persist under a BJP administration, prior to unveiling the manifesto.
“Whatever I say today signifies that we will keep all our commitments,” Nadda remarked, emphasizing how the BJP delivered on over 90 percent of its pledges made prior to the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
