State units will not be allowed to play cricket directly with foreign boards by the BCCI. On March 18, at the board’s Apex Council meeting, a decision will be made.

BCCI to Review State Units’ Collaborations with Foreign Boards

After several state units, including Delhi and Puducherry, held discussions with foreign boards, primarily the associate nations, about hosting them on exposure trips, the BCCI was compelled to make the decision.

It is possible to confirm that the Nepal board has sent a proposal to the Delhi and Districts Cricket Association.

“State units can collaborate with foreign boards on cricket-related projects, but since the BCCI is the parent organization, those agreements must be facilitated by the organization. “BCCI must review all proposals,” a BCCI source stated.

BCCI to Address State Associations’ Collaborations with Foreign Boards

The topic of “state cricket associations collaborating with foreign boards for organising cricket” will be discussed at the next Apex Council meeting. The BCCI will then take matters into its own hands.

Prior to the T20 World Cup in the USA and the Caribbean in June, Nepal is anticipated to visit India as part of an exposure tour.

Jay Shah, the secretary of the BCCI, met with representatives of the Cricket Association of Nepal last month.

The BCCI has previously assisted allied countries. In the years preceding COVID-19, Afghanistan established a significant home base in India, training and competing out of Dehradun and Greater Noida. Japan Cricket and Sri Lanka Cricket Sign an MOU.

India, a global powerhouse, is not the only associate nation aiming to become full members.

An MOU was signed on Wednesday between Sri Lanka Cricket and the Japan Cricket Association, with the aim of assisting the latter in improving its game through “collaborations, exchanges, and also providing expertise pertaining to the game”.

SLC will send its teams, players, coaches, and curators to Japan in accordance with the agreement.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
