The security forces on Thursday (15 May) neutralised three Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

The three terrorists were identified as Asif Ahmed Sheikh, Amir Nazir Wani and Yawar Ahmad Bhat, all residents of Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district, India Today reported.

The encounter started at Nader and Tral area of Awantipora, which is a sub-district of Pulwama, in south Kashmir.

This marks the second major encounter reported in Jammu and Kashmir within a span of just 48 hours.

Earlier on Tuesday (13 May), three terrorists were neutralised in a separate encounter that began in Kulgam and then shifted to the forests in Shopian.

How the security forces intercepted the terrorists:

Security forces intercepted the terrorists following an intelligence input.

“On 13 May 2025, based on specific intelligence of a Rashtriyas Rifles Unit, about presence of terrorists in general area Shoekal Keller, Shopian, Indian Army launched a search and destroy Operation. During the operation, terrorists opened heavy fire and fierce firefight ensued, which resulted in elimination of three hardcore terrorists. Operation is in in progress,” the Indian Army posted on X.

Security operations have intensified in Jammu and Kashmir since the 22 April Pahalgam terror attack in which 26 innocent people, mostly tourists, were brutally killed by Pakistan-backed terrorists.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
