AAP MP Sanjay Singh says Arvind Kejriwal weight dropped to 61.5 kg

Sanjay Singh, AAP Rajya Sabha MP, claimed on Saturday that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal lost 8.5 kg of weight and his blood sugar level fell below 50 mg/dL five times after his incarceration.

During a press conference, Singh said that the BJP-led government at the Centre was plotting a conspiracy to cause Kejriwal to suffer from a “serious disease,” calling it “highly concerning.”

Kejriwal has been in Tihar Jail since April 1, when he was detained by the ED and CBI in connection with the liquor policy issue.

Singh stated that Kejriwal weighed 70 kg when arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 21, and that his weight has now dropped to 61.5 kg.

“The BJP intends to torture Kejriwal in jail, while the Modi government intends to play with his life.” When Kejriwal was detained on March 21, he weighed 70 kilograms. Today, his weight has fallen by 8.5 kg to 61.5 kg,” he stated.

‘No tests undertaken to know the cause of weight loss’

Singh stated that no tests have been undertaken to determine the cause of his persistent weight loss. He claimed that the weight reduction was the result of some significant illness.

“Apart from that, Kejriwal’s sugar level has dropped below 50 mg/dL five times. Any person can fall into a coma if his or her blood sugar level drops constantly. The question is, why is Kejriwal doing all this?” he alleged.

Supreme Court granted interim bail to Kejriwal in ED case on friday

On Friday, the Supreme Court granted Kejriwal temporary bail in a case filed by the Enforcement Directorate. However, he remains in jail due to his arrest in a corruption case being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Singh responded, saying, “When there was hope for relief from the Supreme Court, the CBI produced a bogus case against Kejriwal. “All of this is being done to play with his life.”

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
