Facing criticism for Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s comments on Dalit leader BR Ambedkar, the BJP today sought to intensify its George Soros campaign to shift the focus onto the Opposition. The BJP altered the image of the US billionaire to depict Opposition leaders demonstrating with BR Ambedkar’s photographs in Parliament.
“Greetings, Congress and INDI coalition.” We corrected the image for you. “You’re welcome,” stated the BJP, which has claimed that the Congress collaborates with Soros to undermine the nation.
The Congress stated that the ruling party’s attempt to “alter” Babasaheb Ambedkar’s photo indicates they lack “fundamental respect” for the Constitution’s architect.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra informed news agency ANI, “The way he (Home Minister Amit Shah) has disrespected Babasaheb. Following that, this morning they manipulated Babasaheb’s image on Twitter. This is an attitude that defaces the statue of Babasaheb. “Who is going to trust them?” remarked the Congress MP. “They claim they have no desire to terminate reservation, nor do they wish to alter the Constitution. They lack fundamental respect; he (Ambedkar) is the architect of the Constitution. You are speaking this way about him.'”
Congress MP KC Venugopal inquired whether opposing the disrespect shown to BR Ambedkar was merely a “joke” to the BJP. The BJP is bold in its derision and mockery of Dr. Ambedkar. Rather than guaranteeing the dismissal of the Home Minister for the significant pain inflicted on millions of Babasaheb’s devotees by Amit Shah’s remarks, they are intensifying the mockery. “Is defending Dr. Ambedkar from insults regarded as a joke by the BJP?”
In his speech to the Rajya Sabha during the discussion commemorating 75 years of the Constitution, the Home Minister remarked on Tuesday that mentioning BR Ambedkar’s name has turned into a “trend” now. “It has become trendy to repeatedly say Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar. If they invoked God’s name that often, they would have earned a spot in heaven,” he remarked.
