Hamas launches major ‘missile attack’ towards Tel Aviv

On Sunday, rocket sirens blared across central Israel, including Tel Aviv, for the first time in months, as Hamas claimed to have fired a barrage of missiles from Gaza, according to news agency Reuters.

The al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’ armed wing, declared a “big missile attack” on Tel Aviv. According to the story, the Israeli military replied by blaring sirens around the city to warn of approaching rockets.

According to a post on their Telegram channel, al-Qassam Brigades launched the rockets in retaliation to “Zionist massacres against civilians”.

Hamas’ Al-Aqsa TV confirmed that the rockets were launched from the Gaza Strip.

First missile attack in months

This was the first time in four months that rocket sirens were sounded in Tel Aviv. The Israeli military did not immediately identify the cause of the sirens.

Israeli emergency medical services claimed they had not received any reports of casualties.

Israeli emergency medical services claimed they had not received any reports of casualties.

According to a BBC report, Hamas launched at least eight missiles from the Rafah area in southern Gaza, with some intercepted by Israeli security forces.

The report also indicated that alarm sirens were activated in several cities and towns, including Herzliya and Petah Tikva.

The missile attack on Israel occurred shortly after a new batch of aid trucks entered Gaza from southern Israel via a new deal to bypass the Rafah crossing, which had been closed for weeks.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
