Threatening emails were sent to multiple schools of Ahmedabad in Gujarat, on Monday, which prompted the police to quickly make a move to conduct a search. On the school premises, nothing unusual was discovered. The police are now on high alert.
The threat emails were purportedly sent from the same Russian domain, ‘mail.ru’, as the bomb threat emails that more than a hundred Delhi-NCR schools received the previous week.

Ahmedabad schools receive threat emails
Gujarat’s Ahmedabad was plunged into panic when three schools received bomb threats via email, forcing the institutions to hastily evacuate students to safety, according to news agency ANI. The police investigation in the matter is still on.
DCP Control Ahmedabad City, meanwhile, stated that there’s no need to panic.
“No need to panic, exaggerate…5-6 schools have been threatened through mail about bomb blast…we are checking. No need to give too much hype…people should not panic as tomorrow is poll day,” said DCP Control Ahmedabad City.
The Russian domain “mail.ru,” which was also the source of the bomb threat emails that more than 100 Delhi-NCR schools got last week, appears to be the source of the threat emails, according to news 18.

Delhi-NCR schools received threat emails on Wednesday
Students in over 130 Delhi-NCR schools were quickly evacuated from their campuses on Wednesday morning after receiving bomb threat emails. The email that was sent to Delhi-NCR schools originated from a Russian server, police said.
The Delhi Police’s special squad investigating terrorism discovered that the emails’ domain was registered in Russia. It was presumed that the emails were made with the help of the dark web, which is a source of encrypted content that lets users hide their identities and whereabouts from prying eyes.
A police officer stated that the threat originated from the email address sawariim@mail.ru. The source claims that over the past few years, the terror group Islamic State (IS) has frequently used the Arabic word “sawarim” in their propaganda videos.
Sanskriti School in the Chanakyapuri police station area, Mother Mary School in Mayur Vihar, East Delhi, DPS School in the Dwarka district, DAV School, Amity School in Pushp Vihar and Saket, and Sanskriti School in the New Delhi district were among the schools that got the bomb threat email.
