Because of his ongoing right quadriceps soreness, senior Indian batsman K L Rahul is unlikely to play in the fifth and final Test match against England at Dharamsala.

Rahul was declared 90% fit prior to the third Test in Rajkot earlier this month, but he was ruled out following the series opener in Hyderabad in January, according to the BCCI.

Now that the series has won, Rahul has flown to London to seek a professional opinion on his injury. The management of the Indian team will not take a chance by fielding him in the Dharamsala Test, which starts on March 7.

To increase his chances of making to the Indian side for the T20 World Cup in the USA and the Caribbean, he must be totally fit before the IPL, where he will captain the Lucknow Super Giants and bat in the middle order.

“Going to London is more for the purpose of getting an expert opinion.” When batting, he feels some right quadriceps soreness. The goal is to make sure he fully recovers because he is a long-term player that the team needs.

Having got injured during the IPL, Rahul returned to action with the Asia Cup in September and made instant impact. In the more recent Test tour of South Africa, Rahul was the only century maker from India in the drawn series.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
