The Economic Times (ET) reported on Monday that the armed services will utilize the first spy satellite in India manufactured by a domestic private company to gather covert intelligence. It is scheduled to be launched on a SpaceX rocket by April.

The article further stated that the satellite, which was constructed by Tata Advanced Systems Ltd (TASL), is being shipped to Florida for launch.

Previously, the military had to obtain the necessary precise locations and times from overseas suppliers. However, India will now be able to monitor them and have complete ground control thanks to this satellite.

Additionally, work is being done on the ground control center, which will be located in Bengaluru, and it should soon be operational. This will be utilized for processing the satellite’s pictures and providing guidance.

The article further stated that the center is being constructed in collaboration with the Latin American business Satellogic.

It will also be permitted to exchange the TASL satellite’s pictures with friendly countries.

Although the Indian Space Research Organization (Isro) has satellites that can aid in the sharing of the imagery, their use is restricted given the extensive coverage that is needed.

India currently obtains the required spy data from US corporations. Following the confrontations with China at the Line of Actual Control, the necessity has grown.

Isro launched the meteorological satellite INSAT-3DS last week from the Sriharikota spaceport on board the spacecraft GSLV F14. It will research alerts for natural disasters and weather forecasts. due to its inconsistent history. GSLV has been referred to as a “naughty boy”.

Moreover, Isro and NASA have collaborated on the development of a Synthetic Aperture Radar satellite for Earth observation purposes. It was recently declared by S Somanath, the head of Isro, to not be a “surveillance satellite”.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
