Lord’s, London:

South Africa have clinched their first ICC title in 27 years, beating Australia to win the World Test Championship (WTC) final 2025. Aiden Markram slammed a memorable century, and captain Temba Bavuma fought through injury to score a fifty, as SA chased down a daunting target of 282 on Day 4. It is the first WTC title for the Proteas. Kagiso Rabada starred with the ball, taking nine wickets in the match.

Tears of Joy:

Keshav Maharaj is in tears as he speaks about the journey of South Africa and thanks the fans. Lungi Ngidi and Marco Jansen are elated. ‘Un-freaking-believable’ says Jansen on Markram’s knock. Kyle Verreyne says how nervous he was when he came out to bat. Jubilation. Emotion. Incredible scenes.

Skipper Temba Bavuma:

What a moment for Temba Bavuma. He is now an ICC title-winning captain. At the age of 35, he defied the odds, fought through injury, and played an incredible knock of 66 in the run chase. Not to forget, his valuable 36 in the first innings.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
