External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar warned that after savage acts like the recent Pahalgam incident, New Delhi would extract revenge on terrorist groups and their leaders, saying that India is ready to strike deep into Pakistan if provoked by more terrorist attacks.

S Jaishankar, currently on a visit to Europe, emphasized that Pakistan was openly training “thousands” of terrorists and “unleashing” them on India. His strong remarks come a month after India launched Operation Sindoor in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives.

S Jaishankar stated, “We will not live with it. So our message to them is that if they continue to commit barbarous crimes like they did in April, there will be punishment, and that retribution will be directed at terrorist organizations and their leaders.”

‘Will Go Deep Into Pakistan’

Issuing a stark warning to Pakistan, S Jaishankar said, “We don’t care where they are. If they are deep in Pakistan, we will go deep into Pakistan.”

Following the terror attack in Pahalgam, tensions between India and Pakistan rose substantially. against May 7, India reacted by carrying out precision attacks against terror facilities in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. On-ground hostilities between the two sides ended on May 10 after four days of talks between their respective directors general of military operations, which resulted in an agreement to suspend military activity.

S Jaishankar stated that the fundamental causes of the war have not altered. He stated, “It (Pakistan) is a country deeply entrenched in the use of terrorism as a tool of state policy. That is the entire issue.”

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
