Virat Kohli made history by becoming the first player to hit 300 sixes for an IPL franchise. He accomplished the remarkable feat for RCB in the current match against Chennai Super Kings, scoring 62 runs from 33 balls with the help of 5 fours and 5 sixes.

Jacob Bethell too contributed for the team with a 55-run knock off 33 balls while Romario Shephard smashed a 14-ball 53 to lead Royal Challengers to 213/5 in their 20 overs.

In terms of smashing the most sixes for a single franchise, Kohli is trailed by Chris Gayle (263 sixes for RCB) and Rohit Sharma (262 sixes for MI) in the second and third positions.

Most Sixes for a single franchise in IPL

  1. Virat Kohli- 304 (RCB)
  2. Chris Gayle- 263 (RCB)
  3. Rohit Sharma- 262 (MI)
  4. Pollard- 258 (MI)
  5. MS Dhoni- 257 (CSK)

Kohli’s 304 sixes also include those he struck for RCB in the now-defunct T20 Champions League. In the IPL, Kohli has hit 290 sixes, ranking him third after Chris Gayle (357 sixes) and Rohit Sharma (297 sixes).

Most 500+ Runs Season

It also marked the eighth occasion Kohli has amassed more than 500 runs in one IPL season — a record for any player. The list includes: Kohli (8 occasions—2011, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2023, 2024, 2025), David Warner (7), and KL Rahul (6).

Most 50s in IPL history

The fifty scored against CSK enabled Kohli to equal Warner for the highest number of half-centuries in IPL history, as both are now tied at 62.

Shikhar Dhawan (51) and Rohit Sharma (46) are next on the all-time ranking. Kohli remains at the top of the rankings for the most centuries in the IPL, having hit eight, trailed by Jos Buttler (7), Chris Gayle (6), and Shubman Gill (4).

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
