The Ram Mandir Trust in Ayodhya was emailed a bomb threat, leading to a swift police investigation. In the email, the sender stated, “Badha Lo Mandir Ki Suraksha” (enhance the temple’s security).
The Ram Janmabhoomi Trust received the threatening mail on Monday evening. The cyber unit is presently looking into the case to identify those responsible. In the meantime, a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered at the Cyber Police Station located in Ayodhya.
Besides the Ram Mandir trust, the District Magistrates in Barabanki and Chandauli also got emails with bomb threats. In Ayodhya, security forces initiated a thorough search operation, scouring the region for any unusual activities or potential threats.
The police report concerning the issue was filed by Mahesh Kumar, a representative of the Ram Janmabhoomi Trust.
Aligarh DM also received the threat mail
Apart from this, the Aligarh Collectorate has also received a bomb threat. The threat has been sent to the DM’s official email. After the threat, the police administration has become alert. The police force is investigating the Collectorate with dog squad and other equipment.
After receiving the mail threatening to blow up Aligarh District Collectorate with a bomb, the police and administration have become alert. The district collectorate Aligarh campus has been evacuated. All the gates of the campus have been closed. Four teams started investigating the entire matter. Dog squad and other teams have been deployed on the spot.
The Ram Mandir in Ayodhya attracted an impressive 135.5 million local visitors, overtaking the Taj Mahal as the top visited location in Uttar Pradesh in 2024. In light of this, the police have intensified their patrolling efforts throughout the city.
