Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is recovering after a violent scuffle with an intruder at his home. The incident occurred when the burglar, armed with a sharp weapon, demanded ₹1 crore from the house staff.

The intruder who stabbed Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan had demanded ₹1 crore from his house staff before the actor confronted him, resulting in a scuffle during which Saif sustained multiple knife injuries.
The incident occurred around 2:15 a.m. at Saif’s 12th-floor apartment in a luxury building. According to police reports, the house help initially noticed a shadow near the bathroom, mistaking it for Kareena Kapoor Khan checking on their younger son, Jeh. As she approached to investigate, the intruder—believed to be between 35 and 40 years old—attacked her and demanded ₹1 crore while threatening her to remain silent.
A second housemaid arrived during the confrontation and questioned the intruder, who reiterated his demand for money. Hearing the commotion, Saif rushed downstairs to intervene.

Despite being unarmed, the actor engaged in a physical struggle with the attacker, sustaining six stab wounds, two dangerously close to his spine. During the fight, a sharp weapon broke, leaving fragments lodged in Saif’s body.
Emergency Response and Hospitalization
With no driver available, the family urgently called Saif’s son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, for assistance. Ibrahim, along with his sister Sara Ali Khan, who lives on the 8th floor, rushed to the scene. Unable to operate the family’s automatic electric vehicle, they transported Saif to Lilavati Hospital in an auto-rickshaw.

Doctors at the hospital performed emergency surgery to treat Saif’s injuries. His medical team, including Dr. Niraj Uttamani, Dr. Nitin Dange, and Dr. Leena Jain, have confirmed that Saif is stable and recovering under close observation.

Kareena Kapoor Khan and their younger son Jeh were at home during the incident but remained unharmed. Saif reportedly rushed to Jeh’s room after hearing the commotion and found the intruder engaged in an altercation with the house help. Displaying immense courage, Saif fought off the attacker, protecting his family and staff at great personal risk.

Saif’s team released a statement expressing gratitude to fans and medical staff, assuring the public of his recovery. Police have launched an investigation, reviewing CCTV footage to identify the intruder and determine how he gained access to the high-security building.
This brazen attack has raised concerns about the safety of luxury residences in Mumbai, prompting authorities to tighten security measures in the area.
