Indian security forces have intensified efforts to maintain peace and support local communities in Manipur. Senior military officials briefed Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla on the security situation during a meeting at Raj Bhavan, Imphal. Beyond enhancing safety measures, forces like the Assam Rifles have been actively involved in humanitarian initiatives, distributing blankets to remote villages and providing medical aid to hundreds under “Operation Sadbhavana.” These measures underscore their dedication to fostering stability and aiding those affected by ongoing ethnic tensions in the region.

Indian security forces briefed Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla on their intensified efforts to maintain security and provide humanitarian support in the state

. The meeting, held at Raj Bhavan in Imphal, was attended by top military officials, including Lt Gen. Ram Chander Tiwari, GOC-in-C, Eastern Command, and Lt Gen Abhijit S Pendharkar, GOC Spear Corps.

The briefing focused on the prevailing security situation in Manipur and the broader North Eastern region. Pls rewrite This meeting followed a comprehensive review of the security situation and operational preparedness by the army and para-military officials, who visited Army units stationed at Kumbi and Andro in Manipur.

In addition to enhancing security measures, the Indian security forces have also been actively engaged in humanitarian efforts. These initiatives demonstrate the security forces’ commitment to supporting the local population and promoting stability in the region.

As part of their mission to support vulnerable communities, the Assam Rifles, in collaboration with the Manavta Charitable Foundation, distributed blankets to elderly residents in Tengnoupal district and organized a medical camp benefiting 345 villagers in Churachandpur and Kakching districts. These efforts align with their commitment to provide relief amidst Manipur’s ongoing ethnic violence, which has caused widespread displacement and loss. Security forces are working tirelessly to ensure peace and improve the lives of those in conflict-hit areas.
