Brace up for rain, thunderstorms, and cold wave across North, West, and Central India

North, West, and Central India are gearing up for intense weather as the IMD predicts widespread rain, thunderstorms, hailstorms, and cold wave conditions over the next few days. With temperatures set to dip, dense fog expected in several regions, and disruptions likely, residents are advised to prepare. In Delhi, cloudy skies, light rain, and improved air quality offer some relief, but cold day alerts remain in effect.

Delhi and large parts of North, West, and Central India are bracing for rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds starting Friday, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The weather disturbance stems from a Western Disturbance—a trough in the middle tropospheric westerlies—which is expected to interact with easterly winds over central India. This interaction will draw significant moisture from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal, intensifying rainfall on December 27 and 28.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
