The Gandhi Mandela Foundation and Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone Limited have signed a historic agreement. The two have signed an agreement to design and implement courses for the education with the aim of inculcating the values of peace and non-violence.

The joint agreement is aimed at working together in these areas:
The Gandhi Mandela Foundation (GMF) office at the AMTZ campus will now be operated by the GMTU/AMTZ.
The two organizations will support each other to design, develop and implement academic courses focusing on areas that include social justice, peace, conflict resolution, public health, sustainability, leadership, humanitarian studies and community development, ethics, governance in accordance with the UGC guidelines.
The two parties are now to form a joint curriculum development team to create courses that reflect the philosophies of Gandhi and Mandela in the areas of leadership, public policy and social justice.
The GMF will facilitate access to expert faculty, guest lecturers and practitioners as well in order to contribute to academic courses and will also share their practical experiences. The GMTU is going to provide faculty members and academic resources with the aim to assist in the development and delivery of the proposed courses.
Joint conferences, seminars, symposiums, short-term programs, teacher enrichment programs and workshops will also be organized in collaboration whenever and wherever possible for community outreach. The faculty and students will be given internship and fieldwork opportunities through the network of the Gandhi Mandela Foundation, allowing them to engage in community service and social projects in line with the values of the two leaders.
Both the organizations are committed to provide technical assistance as per the mutual agreement.
This historic agreement between the Gandhi Mandela Foundation and The Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone Limited has been signed in the presence of Advocate Nandan Jha (General Secretary, Gandhi Mandela Foundation) and Dr. Jitendra Kumar Sharma (Managing Director and CEO, Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone Limited). Ayushi Malviya (Senior Executive Vice President, GMF) was present on the occasion.

The Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone Limited is India’s manufacturing hub of medical devices. It is an enterprise under the Government of Andhra Pradesh, created to provide a one-stop solution covering common scientific, manufacturing and commercial facilities for medical device manufacturers and innovators. The zone provides various infrastructure facilities like scientific testing laboratories required for such manufacturing.
