Amidst recent attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh,  Hindu temples there  remain beacons of hope and cultural heritage. Discover the serene beauty of the Chandranath Temple, the intricate carvings of the Adinath Temple, and the grandeur of the Puthia Temple Complex. Bangladesh, a predominantly Muslim country, has a rich history of Hindu culture and tradition. Numerous Hindu temples dot the landscape, each with its own unique story and architectural significance. Here are five of the most important Hindu temples in Bangladesh:

Located in the heart of Dhaka, the Dhakeshwari Temple is one of Bangladesh’s oldest and most revered Hindu temples. Dedicated to the Hindu goddess Durga, it’s a major pilgrimage site, especially during Durga Puja. The temple’s intricate terracotta work, a testament to the region’s rich artistic heritage, is a sight to behold.

Legend has it that the temple was founded in the 12th century by King Ballal Sen of the Sena dynasty. The original 800-year-old statue of Durga was moved to Kolkata, but a replica remains at the temple.

2. Kantaji Temple, Dinajpur

Dedicated to Lord Krishna, it’s a masterpiece of 18th-century Bengal architecture. The temple’s intricate details, including floral motifs and mythological figures, are a testament to the skill of the artisans of that era.

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
