Punjabi artist Diljit Dosanjh, who is well-known worldwide, pleased his fans at his concert in Hyderabad by changing the lyrics of his song, Lemonade, from mentioning ‘alcohol’ to ‘Coke’. The company has responded to a video of his performance on Instagram.

The adjustment was made following the Telangana government’s instructions to Diljit to refrain from performing songs that endorse alcohol, drugs, or violence.

Diljit, who is renowned for his clever charisma, promptly adjusted to the instructions. He transformed the 5 star hotel to 5 star hotel and substituted Coke’s lemonade for daaru’s lemonade.

In another popular song, Pehle Lalkare, the singer replaced bottlaan de datt patten with Coke de datt pattne, which resulted in the crowd laughing out loud.

The star’s spontaneous performance not only excited the audience but also prompted Coca-Cola to respond to the video.

The company’s official India Instagram account commented on the video, writing, “Chautha kaam twade gaane japne [Fourth task is worshipping your songs]!,” accompanied by a smiley and heart emoji.

Numerous videos of his performance became popular on various social media platforms. Diljit was observed captivating his crowd at the concert while following the government’s guidelines.

Nonetheless, the vocalist didn’t hesitate to criticize the Telangana government for its limitations. Diljit Dosanjh wondered why Indian artists were under such close examination while international performers seemed to be given a pass.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
