The gunfight started in Pattan area of the Northern Kashmir district
Three militants were killed in a clash between security forces and terrorists that began in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday night. The conflict started in the Pattan region of the northern Kashmir district.
The Kashmir Zone Police announced on X on Friday that a conflict has begun in the Chak Tapper Kreeri Pattan region of #Baramulla. According to the police, law enforcement and security personnel are currently working, and more information will be provided later.
News18 obtained drone footage on Saturday that revealed a wounded terrorist attempting to conceal himself near the encounter site in Baramulla.
Two soldiers lost lives, 2 others were injured in gunfight in Kishtwar on Friday
On Friday, a gunfight with terrorists in Chatroo village of Kishtwar district resulted in the deaths of two soldiers and injuries to two others. The shootout began as a combined security team of Army and police conducted a search operation in Naidgham following a tip-off in Chhatroo. Vipin Kumar, a soldier who was killed in the Kishtwar clash, hails from Patra village.

Eight Assembly segments in the Chenab Valley region, covering Doda, Kishtwar, and Ramban districts, as well as 16 seats in south Kashmir districts including Anantnag, Pulwama, Shopian, and Kulgam, will participate in the first phase of voting on September 18.
The districts of Jammu, Kathua, and Samba will conduct their elections on September 25 and October 1 in the second and third phases.
PM Modi to campaign in Doda district today
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will campaign for his party candidates by speaking at a large rally in Doda district on Saturday, with strong security measures in place.
The upcoming visit by the prime minister will mark the first time in 42 years that a prime minister has visited Doda. Enhanced security measures have been put in place in both Doda and Kishtwar districts, specifically around the location, to guarantee a calm and organized election rally at the stadium in Doda town.
