At least four Indian Army members lost their lives in a traffic accident on Thursday while traveling from Pedong in West Bengal to Zuluk in Sikkim.

The incident occurred on the Silk Route within Sikkim’s Pakyong district.
Vehicle falls into 700-800 foot deep gorge
Officials stated that the car slid off the road and plunged about 700 to 800 feet into the gorge at Vertical Veer, near Dalopchand Dara along Rhenock Rongli state highway, commonly referred to as Silk Route.

Army Subedar K Thangapandi among personnel killed in accident
The individuals were recognized as driver Pradeep Patel from Madhya Pradesh, craftsman W Peter from Manipur, Naik Gursev Singh from Haryana and Subedar K Thangapandi from Tamil Nadu.
Every member of the Army belonged to a unit located in Binaguri, West Bengal.
