Several labourers were feared trapped at an iron-making factory after the chimney of the company collapsed in Sargaon, Mungeli Chhattisgarh on Thursday. One injured labourer has been admitted to a hospital. The police and the local administrative officials were present at the spot.
Rescue and investigation efforts are currently ongoing, highlighting concerns about industrial safety standards.
The factory is operated by Basudev Trade Link and specializes in producing sponge iron. The facility includes Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) kilns, which are commonly used for iron production.
