Aliya Fakhri, the sister of Nargis Fakhri, has been detained in New York for supposedly murdering her ex-boyfriend and his companion. Aliya was taken into custody on November 26 and the following day indicted by a jury on murder charges linked to a deadly fire at her former boyfriend’s residence in New York City, United States. She is charged with four counts of first-degree murder, four counts of second-degree murder, and charges of arson. So far, she has been refused bail, and if found guilty, Aliya could receive a life sentence in prison.
Prosecutors claim that Aliya Fakhri, 43, deliberately ignited the detached garage of a residence in Queens on November 23, resulting in the deaths of her ex-boyfriend, Edward Jacobs, 35, and his companion, Anastasia Ettienne, 33.
Prosecutors stated that Fakhri turned to arson after Jacobs declined her efforts to mend their relationship.

As stated in the indictment, Fakhri reached the property at approximately 6:20 a.m. and was heard yelling, “You’re all going to die today,” prior to starting the fire.
Who is Aliya Fakhri
Aliya Fakhri is 43, slightly younger than the Rockstar actress Nargis Fakhri. She was raised in Queens, New York City. Their father, Mohammed Fakhri, is from Pakistan, while their mother, Marie Fakhri, hails from the Czech Republic. The daughters’ parents separated when they were still very young.
A source familiar with Nargis Fakhri also informed India Today that the actress has not communicated with her sister in more than 20 years. Since she also learned about this incident through the media, she cannot provide any comments on the issue.
Last week, the actress told her fans that she is currently filming the last schedule of Housefull 5. The movie features Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Fardeen Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Sanjay Dutt, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Jackie Shroff, among others.
