Eternal, the parent company of Zomato, a food delivery aggregator, has revealed the appointment of Aditya Mangla as the CEO of its food ordering and delivery operations. The firm announced that Mangla’s appointment follows the board of directors’ approval on July 6, 2025, for a duration of 2 years.
Mangla assumes the position from Rakesh Ranjan, who has wrapped up a two-year term as CEO of the food ordering and delivery company. The company stated in a regulatory filing that Ranjan will no longer be classified as senior management personnel starting from 6 July 2025.

Deepinder Goyal, the founder of Eternal, stated that this isn’t merely a role change. “It represents the type of leadership required as we enter our next phase. We require leaders and teams capable of handling complexity with confidence and modesty. Leaders who can act quickly while remaining contemplative,” said Goyal in an email to employees.
Who is Aditya Mangla?
Since becoming a part of Eternal in March 2021, Mangla has assumed various leadership positions within the food delivery sector, such as Head of Supply and Head of Customer Experience, concentrating on improving restaurant partner networks and boosting customer satisfaction across digital channels.
Before joining Eternal, he held high-level PnL, product, and marketing positions in startups and technology-focused firms.

He has a PGP in Management from the Indian School of Business, where he received the Torchbearer Award, a master’s in Information Networking from Carnegie Mellon University, and an undergraduate engineering degree in IT from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology.
