Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was forced to step down from her position and depart Bangladesh due to the circumstances surrounding the anti-reservation rallies in that nation. She arrived in India on Monday night, August 5. She has since been kept in a safe house at the Air Force’s Hindon Airbase. NSA Ajit Doval greeted Sheikh Hasina, and the two had a conversation for around sixty minutes.
The opposition party leaders were briefed on this topic by Foreign Minister S Jaishankar at Parliament House on Tuesday morning, August 6. The Foreign Minister will give a speech this evening at 3:30 pm regarding the state of affairs in Bangladesh. All of the opposition parties have declared their support for the government.
What will be the impact on India?
India now faces difficulties in its diplomatic efforts, border security, and internal security as a result of the recent developments in Bangladesh. India will need to exercise extreme caution in handling the current scenario. in particular when the US and Pakistan are the ones driving this crisis in Bangladesh. India has canceled the trains that run between Bangladesh and India out of concern. The border is now more heavily guarded.

Another front can open on the border
At the border, India is currently at war with China and Pakistan. There is concern that India may face opposition from another front. The sentiment that has evolved in Bangladesh against India is the cause of this dread. There have been numerous anti-Indian protests and slogans. The biggest opposition party there, Jamaat-e-Islami, an Islamic fundamentalist party, is allied with the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). Jamaat-e-Islami is hostile to both India and the Hindu people. When Sheikh Hasina was prime minister, she had also outlawed it.

India would have strained relations with the next Bangladeshi government if Sheikh Hasina remains in the country. Because Jamaat-e-Islami, an Islamic fundamentalist party, would be included in the future Bangladeshi administration alongside the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).
Security of Hindus and Indians living in Bangladesh
Hindus and Hindu shrines are the targets of protesters in Bangladesh. Hindus, who number one crore thirty lakh, make about 8% of Bangladesh’s overall population. The Ministry of External Affairs estimates that there are now 13,000 Indian residents living there. Their safety is a worry for the Indian government. They are to remain in their houses, per the Indian government’s request. If necessary, airlifting will also be conducted at the same time.

Internal security
There’s a possibility that Hindus may migrate to India as a result of the attacks on them in Bangladesh. Bangladesh and India have numerous areas with open borders. Anarchic components have the potential to penetrate India in addition to Hindus. Who is able to enter here and ruin the mood? Anyway, this scenario in Bangladesh is the result of the Pakistani ISI. Its agents have the potential to enter India and contaminate the air in North East India. Anyhow, the situation in Manipur has not yet helped India heal.
