Hyderabad, June 12:
A major accident disrupted the shooting of the much-anticipated period drama The India House, produced by Ram Charan and featuring actor Nikhil Siddhartha in the lead role. A large water tank reportedly burst on the film’s set on Tuesday, causing a sudden flood that resulted in chaos and injuries to multiple crew members.
Accident During a War Sequence Shoot:
The incident occurred during the filming of an intense war sequence on a specially constructed outdoor set. According to eyewitnesses, the tank which was being used to simulate rain and flood effects suddenly gave way due to a structural fault or possible overfilling. Injuries Reported, Emergency Aid Provided:
Around 8 to 10 crew members, including lightmen and set workers, were reportedly injured in the mishap. They were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where they are said to be in stable condition. No casualties have been reported, and the production team has ensured that medical care and assistance are being provided to all affected individuals.
Ram Charan and Nikhil Respond:
Producer Ram Charan, who is also expected to make a cameo in the film, expressed his concern and support in a statement:
“The safety of our cast and crew is our top priority. We are in touch with the injured team members and are ensuring they receive the best medical attention. The incident is unfortunate, and we are investigating how it occurred.”
Lead actor Nikhil Siddhartha also took to social media, writing:
“Praying for everyone who was injured. Grateful that no lives were lost. We’ll bounce back stronger.”
Production Halted for Safety Review:
Following the incident, the film’s shoot has been temporarily halted. A technical team has been assigned to inspect all equipment and safety protocols before production resumes. Reports suggest the burst occurred due to the tank’s base weakening over time, but an official cause will be announced after the inquiry.
