Hours after allegedly attacking Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan at his Bandra residence, the assailant was spotted in central Mumbai’s Dadar area, casually purchasing a mobile phone cover. CCTV footage revealed the suspect at a shop near platform 1 of Dadar (West) railway station around 9:04 a.m. on January 16, 2025, just hours after the brutal incident.
The police believe the accused boarded a local train after fleeing the crime scene and traveled to Dadar, where he bought the accessory before heading toward Kabutarkhana. His movements have been captured on multiple surveillance cameras, and investigators are now working to trace his exact route. The shopkeeper who sold the phone cover may soon have their statement recorded as part of the ongoing probe.

Attack on Saif Ali Khan
The attack occurred in the early hours of January 16 at Khan’s 11th-floor apartment in Bandra. The intruder, believed to be in his early 30s, allegedly entered the residence around 2:30 a.m., demanded ₹1 crore, and assaulted the family’s nanny before stabbing Khan six times. Khan, who sustained severe injuries, was rushed to Lilavati Hospital by autorickshaw, where he underwent emergency surgery. Medical officials have since declared him stable.
