Donald Trump delivered a rousing victory speech at his Florida watch party, celebrating his return to the White House after defeating Kamala Harris in a closely contested race. Although final tallies are pending, major media outlets have declared Trump the victor, securing wins in battleground states like North Carolina, Georgia, and Pennsylvania. The Republicans also reclaimed control of the U.S. Senate.
In his speech, Trump expressed deep gratitude to his supporters and shared his vision for the future:
“Winning the popular vote was a wonderful thing. There’s a tremendous feeling of love in this very large room tonight,” Trump said. He continued, “We’ll be keeping control of the House of Representatives and securing our borders. We want people to come in, but they have to come in legally.”

Thanking his family, Trump added, “I want to acknowledge my beautiful wife Melania, the First Lady—and bestselling author in the country. To my running mate, JD Vance, and millions of Americans who turned out in record numbers—you’ve given us a victory, and we’ll pay you back by doing the best job we can. This will be remembered as the day America regained control.”
Trump also highlighted a “new star,” Elon Musk, saying, “He’s a special guy, a genius…we need to protect our geniuses.”
Emphasizing unity, he said, “Asian Americans, Muslim Americans, Arab Americans…everyone showed up in historic support. The Republican Party is now the party of common sense!”
In a message of reassurance, he vowed, “We have to put America first for a time, make America great again. I won’t let you down.”
At 78, Trump is now the oldest president ever elected and the first in over a century to return to the White House after a defeat.
