Veteran Tamil actor‑comedian Madhan Bob (born S. Krishnamoorthy on October 19, 1953) passed away at age 71 on August 2, 2025, after a prolonged battle with cancer, at his residence in Adyar, Chennai.
Madhan Bob was celebrated for his signature infectious laughter, expressive facial tics, and protruding eyeballs—a comedic style inspired by the legendary Kaka Radhakrishnan.
Over a spanning career, he appeared in more than six hundred Tamil films, with standout performances as Diamond Babu in Thenali and Manager Sundaresan in Friends. His body of work also included Thevar Magan, Sathi Leelavathi, Chandramukhi, and Ethir Neechal
