Arvind Kejriwal eating home cooked food: Tihar officials

The Tihar Jail authorities dismissed the Aam Aadmi Party’s claims about Arvind Kejriwal’s health on Monday, stating that the Delhi Chief Minister’s vital signs were normal.

According to jail officials, the inmate’s health is constantly monitored and he is evaluated by medical personnel on a regular basis. According to the Office of the Superintendent of Central Jail No. 2, Kejriwal has been following a medically prescribed diet, which includes home-cooked food, as ordered by the court.

“Despite a slight weight loss, his vitals remain normal, and he receives appropriate medical care for all his ailments”, jail authorities said in a statement.

‘Health status reports contradict claims made by AAP leaders’

The prison officials also stated that the health status reports contradict the statements made by AAP ministers and legislators, describing the story as “misleading and driven by ulterior motives” to discredit the jail administration.

“The details have been communicated to various government officials for awareness and necessary action. Now we can offer this with a documented weight chart from 63.5 kg to 61.5 kg from June 2 to July 14”, the statement added.

AAP leader Sanjay Singh had alleged Kejriwal lost 8.5 kgs while in jail

Sanjay Singh, AAP Rajya Sabha MP, accused Arvind Kejriwal of losing 8.5 kg of weight and had his blood sugar level dip below 50 mg/dL five times after his incarceration and slammed the Tihar Jail administration.

Singh stated that the prison authorities committed a crime by publishing an inmate’s medical report and disagreed with Tihar’s assertion.

“A team of AIIMS physicians has been examining Arvind Kejriwal’s health and discovered that he is losing weight quickly and suffering from hypoglycemia. Sanjay Singh said that his blood sugar level plummeted below 50 mg/dL five times, perhaps leading to his death.

“The plot that has led to Arvind Kejriwal’s death. His weight was 70 kg when he was detained, but it has since dropped to 61.5 kilograms. I implore PM Modi not to mess with Kejriwal’s life because if something bad happens, it will be impossible for the Centre to find a solution,” he added.

Arvind Kejriwal surrendered to Tihar Jail on June 2 after his Supreme Court-approved interim bail to campaign for his party in the recent Lok Sabha elections expired.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
