The Sabarmati Report, a controversial political drama directed by Dheeraj Sarna, will be available for streaming soon. The movie, starring Vikrant Massey in the lead role, was first released in theaters on November 15, 2024. It will debut online on Zee5 on January 11.

The plot of the film revolves around Samar Kumar, portrayed by Vikrant Massey, a dedicated journalist looking into the 2002 Godhra train fire in Gujarat.

As he investigates further, he reveals disturbing realities and a perilous plot involving powerful individuals intent on concealing their secrets.

Even though it encountered criticism from different sources, the BJP government in multiple states declared The Sabarmati Report tax-exempt.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and other prominent BJP leaders were present at a film screening with the cast and crew.

After the film was released, Vikrant Massey declared a break from acting, leading to rumors about possible early retirement. Nevertheless, the actor made it clear that he wants to dedicate more time to his family, particularly his newborn son Vardaan.

Prior to his break, Vikrant will star in the romantic comedy Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan alongside newcomer Shanaya Kapoor. The movie has been financed by Ekta Kapoor, Shobhaa Kapoor, and Zee Studios.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
