Emerging consumer electronics company Nothing Inc., based in London, made the announcement on Tuesday, February 13, that its new Phone 2(a) series will go on sale early in March.
The phone will be exclusively offered on Flipkart. The announcement was formally made by the company through a post on the official X (previously known as Twitter).
On March 5 at 5:00 p.m. IST, Nothing will host an online event to reveal the newest Phone 2(a).
Phone 2(a): What is currently known
It is commonly believed to be a diluted variant of the expensive Phone 2 series. A 6.7-inch screen with support for a 120Hz refresh rate is anticipated for the next Nothing Phone 2(a).
Additionally, it probably has a 4,290mAh battery with a 45W charging speed capabilities and a MediaTek 7200 series CPU running Nothing OS, which is based on Android 14.
At least two configurations—8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage—will be available.
Regarding the photography hardware, it is anticipated to have a dual-camera module with an LED flash on the back (primary 50 MP + ultra-wide 50 MP). Additionally, a 16MP sensor will be located on the front.
The upcoming Phone 2(a) may or may not support the Glyph LED interface found in the Phone 1 and Phone 2 variants, but this is currently unknown.
Nothing plans to organize another event later this month, on February 27, around Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the business may make some announcements regarding the Phone 2(a).
There will be limited release dates for the new Phone 2(a) worldwide, including in India. In related news, CMF, Nothing’s subsidiary, will shortly release new devices. It has announced that new Neckband Pro and Buds TWS earphones would be available soon.
Pricing of Phone 2(a)
The CEO of Nothing, Carl Pei, also suggested in a recent video that the Phone (2a) will cost less than the Phone (2), which made its debut last year.
The Phone (2a) will nonetheless provide substantial improvements over the current two phones that are on the market, the business has stressed.

In a video, industrial designer Chris Weightman teased the Phone (2a)’s design, showing off designs that hinted to a transparent back panel (similar to the other two handsets in the lineup) and the iconic glyph interface.
