Arvind Kejriwal, the AAP leader, stated on Wednesday that the Trinamool Congress has declared its backing for the Aam Aadmi Party in the Delhi Assembly elections. Expressing gratitude to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Kejriwal remarked, “Thank you Didi,” highlighting her consistent support for AAP.

The former Delhi chief minister said in a post on X, “TMC has announced support to AAP in Delhi elections. I am personally grateful to Mamta Didi. Thank you Didi. U have always supported and blessed us in our good and bad times.”

Trinamool became part of the INDIA bloc allies pledging support to the AAP for the elections in Delhi. Prior to this, both the Samajwadi Party and Shiv Sena (UBT) had previously shown their backing for Kejriwal’s party.

Significantly, the AAP has chosen to fight the forthcoming Assembly elections independently after forming a partnership with the Congress for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The governing AAP won the 2015 and 2020 elections with 67 and 62 seats, respectively, and is seeking a third consecutive victory in the capital.

Voting for the 70-member Delhi Assembly is scheduled for February 5, with the counting of votes taking place on February 8.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
