According to reports, suspected terrorists opened fire on an Indian Army vehicle in the Sunderbani neighborhood of Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir, on Wednesday. No casualties have been confirmed as of yet.
As the military vehicle was being attacked, multiple rounds of fire were coming in from a deep woodland area in the area.
According to officials, while reinforcements were hurried to the scene, the Army forces retaliated.
To assess the situation, senior SSP rank personnel came on the scene.
Officials say the Army vehicle of the 09 Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry was hit by about three shots.
Teams from the Forensic Science Laboratory have been dispatched to the scene of the incident to conduct an investigation.

“We are investigating all potential avenues, including acts of terror, fire caused by antisocial elements, and unintentional fire discharge,” officials stated.
On Tuesday night, the Indian Army opened fire on a suspected terrorist activity along the Line of Control in the Keeri Battal area of Akhnoor. The firing lasted for an hour, after which the troops conducted a search operation in the area.
This area also connects to Sunderbani, where the Army vehicle was attacked today.
