Law Enforcement Agencies Gear Up To Deter Farmer’s Protest
As the protest gains momentum, reports have emerged of farmers reaching the city gates, with some already stationed at key entry points. The farmers’ march has also sparked instances of tension, including reports of tear gas shells being fired at Haryana’s Shambhu border, highlighting the heightened emotions and urgency surrounding the protest.
Security forces in Delhi and neighboring states have rolled out extensive security arrangements to deter the influx of protesters and prevent repeated incidents. Multiple layers of barricades, reinforced with concrete blocks, iron nails, and walls of containers, have been erected at strategic locations, including the Singhu, Ghazipur, and Tikri borders.

What’s Planned To Stop Farmers Protest From Entering Delhi?
Authorities have devised innovative strategies, such as using lubricants on roads to impede the progress of protesters, demonstrating their resolve to maintain order amidst the escalating tensions.
In anticipation of potential unrest, a robust force comprising over 2000 personnel, including Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) and Crime Branch staff, has been mobilized to ensure security and promptly respond to untoward incidents.

In districts like Sirsa, where the protest is expected to gather momentum, authorities have established 40 checkposts and deployed 11 paramilitary companies to bolster security measures.
The protest assumes significance as more than 200 farmers’ unions are scheduled to march to the national capital on February 13.
