August 13, 2025 – A devastating road accident in Rajasthan’s Dausa district claimed 11 lives — including seven children and four women — and left eight others injured in the early hours of Wednesday.
The crash occurred around 4–5 a.m. when a pickup van carrying 20 passengers rammed into a stationary truck on the Manoharpur highway, according to PTI, citing local police.
Dausa Superintendent of Police (SP) Sagar said the victims were residents of Uttar Pradesh’s Etah district, returning home after a pilgrimage to the revered Khatu Shyam and Salasar Balaji temples in Rajasthan.
The ill-fated pickup, traveling on the highway’s service lane, slammed into a parked truck, causing catastrophic damage. Seven of the 11 deceased have been identified as Poorvi (3), Daksh (12), Seema (25), Priyanka (25), Anshu (26), Saurabh (28), and Sheela (35).
Nearly half the passengers on board died in the collision, while one of the eight injured is in critical condition. The wounded were rushed to nearby hospitals.
