he recent surge in reports of mysterious, lighted drone-like objects over New jersey sky has led experts and lawmakers to ask: What are these objects, and where are they coming from? The ongoing discussions are set to keep both enthusiasts and skeptics on the edge of their seats.

Amid the buzz over the sighting of illuminated drone-like objects in the New Jersey sky, a recent official deliberation on sightings of mysterious objects—often described as UFOs—might throw some light on the NJ phenomena.
On November 13, expert witnesses delivered extraordinary statements before the U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Accountability during a public hearing titled Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP): Exposing the Truth. These testimonies, including accounts from military officials, scientists, and investigative journalists, cast new light on the phenomenon of UAPs—formerly known as UFOs—and their potential implications for humanity.
According toa report in Newsweek, Dr. Tim Gallaudet, a retired U.S. Navy Rear Admiral, opened the session with a groundbreaking assertion that whistleblower reports on UAPs reveal technologies suggesting humanity is not alone in the universe.
“As a former science agency leader, I have always sought the truth in human knowledge,” Gallaudet testified. “Now that we know UAPs are interacting with humanity—including unidentified submerged objects (USOs) in our oceans—we cannot bury our heads in the sand. We must boldly face this new reality and learn from it.”
Gallaudet recounted his pivotal encounter with UAPs during a naval exercise in January 2015 involving the USS Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group. An urgent email from Fleet Forces Command warned of “multiple near-midair collisions” during the exercise, accompanied by the now-famous “Go Fast” video, which showed a high-speed object defying conventional flight physics.
“Let me be clear: UAPs are real,” Gallaudet emphasized. “These advanced technologies, not made by our government—or any other government—are monitoring sensitive military installations worldwide.”
Elizondo: A Secretive Arms Race?
Luis Elizondo, a former intelligence officer and UAP investigator, echoed Gallaudet’s sentiments and revealed additional concerns about the global handling of UAP technologies. The Newsweek reported. .
“The U.S. and other nations possess UAP technologies,” Elizondo stated. “We are in the midst of a multi-decade, secretive arms race, funded by misallocated taxpayer dollars and hidden from congressional oversight.”
Elizondo urged transparency, highlighting the strategic and scientific importance of investigating these phenomena while ensuring public accountability.
NASA’s Michael Gold: A Call for Scientific Inquiry
Michael Gold, a former NASA Associate Administrator and a member of the agency’s UAP Independent Study Team, encouraged the scientific community to embrace the study of UAPs without fear of ridicule.
“Instead of vilifying those who dare to study this phenomenon, NASA and the scientific community should seize this singular opportunity to engage the public in a high-profile demonstration of the scientific method,” Gold said. “Information should be gathered, results studied, hypotheses made, and conclusions tested.”
Gold stressed that open inquiry and public engagement could provide answers to one of humanity’s most profound mysteries.
Investigative Journalist Michael Shellenberger: “Government Secrecy Persists”
Investigative journalist Michael Shellenberger presented a detailed report to the Committee on a classified UAP crash-retrieval program, known as Immaculate Constellation. Shellenberger claimed the program has been operating without congressional oversight for decades.
“While UAPs remain mysterious, it’s clear the U.S. government has not been transparent with the American people,” Shellenberger testified. He cited incursions by unknown objects near sensitive military assets, including nuclear missile silos, as evidence of the potential seriousness of the issue.
Shellenberger also pointed to public remarks by prominent figures, including former CIA Director John Brennan and Presidents Donald Trump and Barack Obama, as indications of withheld information.
“In 2021, John Brennan said some phenomena might involve activity beyond our current understanding and could represent a different form of life,” Shellenberger noted.
A New Frontier of Inquiry
The report concluded that the testimonies underscored a shared belief: UAPs represent a profound mystery that demands rigorous investigation, scientific openness, and government transparency. With whistleblowers, military officials, and scientists stepping forward, the UAP phenomenon is moving from the fringes of public discourse to the forefront of scientific and political debate.
As New jersey grapples with this enigmatic subject, the hearings signalled a turning point—an invitation to face the unknown and seek answers to questions that could redefine our understanding of the universe.
