Power outage at Delhi Airport; boarding and check-in facilities disrupted

Passengers claimed that the T3 terminal at Delhi airport was closed owing to a power outage, with Digi Yatra and the check-in counter not working.
“T3 terminal #delhi #airport totally chocked due to power failure! No counter , No digi yatra , nothing functioning. This is shocking,” a user wrote on X.

The Delhi airport answered that they had taken notice of the feedback and had forwarded it to the appropriate staff for further investigation.
The disruption lasted two to three minutes until the electricity was restored and services such as luggage loading at boarding gates, DigiYatra, and air conditioning were restarted, according to an airport official.
“Due to the heavy AC load, it took a few minutes to return to full power. Systems such as the Digi Yatra reset and resumed operating shortly after,” the spokesman noted, noting that flight operations were unaffected.
