August 30, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Tianjin, China, marking his first visit to the country in over seven years. He is in China to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit, scheduled for August 31 and September 1. The summit will be hosted by Chinese President Xi Jinping and will include leaders from member countries, including Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The SCO summit is expected to focus on regional security, economic cooperation, and counterterrorism efforts. Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to meet with President Xi Jinping on Sunday, August 31, to discuss bilateral relations and regional issues.
