Congress MP Rahul Gandhi indirectly criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, insinuating that he was displaying symptoms of memory loss, likening him to US President Joe Biden, known for his frequent verbal mistakes.

Speaking at a gathering in Amravati, Maharashtra, the MP from Raebareli recounted a moment when Biden, aged 81, mistakenly referred to Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as Russian President Vladimir Putin at a function.

“My sister informed me that she had listened to Modi Ji’s speech. In his speech, Modi Ji is echoing whatever we say. I am not sure. Perhaps he is suffering from amnesia. The ex-President of the United States had a tendency to forget and needed to be reminded from behind. The President of Ukraine arrived and the President of America stated that President Putin of Russia had also arrived. His memory was gone. In the same way, our Prime Minister is experiencing memory loss,” said Rahul Gandhi, who is also the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha.

He asserted that Modi, 74, had been saying in his speeches that the Congress was attacking the Constitution.

“In all my speeches over the past year, I have consistently pointed out that the BJP has been undermining the Constitution. However, Prime Minister Modi claims that the Congress is assaulting the Constitution. He discovered that individuals were becoming upset, and now he is alleging that I am assaulting the Constitution, said Rahul.

Rahul Gandhi reiterated his demand for a caste census across the country and called on the Modi administration to carry out the survey.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
