Afterwards, he was discovered dead in the Rohaniya area of the city, with initial findings suggesting that he committed suicide following the murder of his wife and three children.

After being alerted by the family’s tenants about the incident, a Varanasi Police team quickly arrived at the scene and proceeded to send the bodies for post-mortem examination.

Rajendra Gupta’s mother informed the authorities that the pair were in a conflict about a matter.

Speaking of the event, Gaurav Banswal, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in Varanasi, stated, “We were provided with information regarding the shooting deaths of four relatives in the same family. We are exploring the case from different perspectives, such as family conflict, dark spells, and more.”

“Rajendra Gupta’s body has also been recovered from Varanasi’s and a separate investigation is being done to find out whether he was murdered or he died by suicide,” Banswal said when he was asked about the accused’s death.

The DCP mentioned that Rajendra, who had a murder case pending against him since 1997, was released on bail.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
