Coming directly to the point – Yes, mobile phones can be very dirty. Being dirty can be hazardous too.

Here know how your phone can make you sick. It carries many hazardous elements with it. And when you touch it and keep having food or cleaning your face, nose, eyes, mouth etc, you invite many inevitable living and non-living dirt inside your body. It carries many things viz.:

Bacteria

As just mentioned up here, your mobile phone can have up to ten times more bacteria than a toilet seat. In accordance with a study, approximately ninety four percent of phones show evidence of bacterial contamination.

Microorganisms

As per a study over twenty six health care workers, their phones were contaminated with eleven thousand one hundres and sixty three microorganisms. This includes bacteria, protists, fungi, viruses, and bacteriophages.

Antibiotic resistance genes

In the same study as mentioned up here, it was found that their mobile phone had 2,096 genes coding for antibiotic resistance and virulence factors.

Transmission

Researches also show that our cell phones can be a pathway for microbial transmission and this may be potentially contributing to the spread of infections in pandemics and epidemics.

Obviously you can make efforts to keep your phone clean. Here is how:

Phone cleaning

First of all moisten a cloth with a mixture of 40% isopropyl alcohol and 60% water. Then wipe down the phone with the cloth. Then bring a cotton swab and clean harder-to-reach areas with that.

As the second step utilize compressed air to clean problem areas of the phone. After this arrange a UV light sanitizer for destroying surface bacteria. Then use Lysol wipes, which are know as safe to use on electronics.

Finally, wear gloves and then start last cleaning on your phone with the cloth.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
