January 5, 2026: A South Korean national was allegedly stabbed to death by his live-in partner at their apartment in Greater Noida on January 4, 2026, police said.

The victim, identified as Duck Hee Yuh, also known as Yuh Duck-Hee, was found critically injured at a high-rise society in Sector 150, reportedly ATS Pious Hideaways. He was rushed to the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Yuh, around 47 years old and a native of Cheongju city in South Korea, had been living in India for nearly a decade. He was employed as a manager with a logistics company. His live-in partner, Lunjeana Pamai, a resident of Manipur, had admitted him to the hospital, prompting police suspicion.

During interrogation, Pamai allegedly confessed to stabbing Yuh in the chest with a knife following a heated argument at their residence. Police sources said the dispute erupted during a drinking session. Pamai reportedly tried to stop Yuh from consuming more alcohol, following which an argument broke out. She claimed that Yuh often became violent after drinking and that she had been subjected to repeated assaults.

According to her statement, the stabbing was carried out in a moment of anger and frustration, without any intention to kill.

A case has been registered at Knowledge Park police station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for murder. Pamai has been arrested, and further investigation is underway. The victim’s body has been sent for post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death and the number of stab wounds.

The South Korean Embassy has been informed of the incident, and Yuh’s family has been notified.

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
